DTS Neural Technologies provides advanced audio processing technology that is utilized with Harris core processing products such as the 6800+™ flexible modular products, Selenio Media Convergence Platform, and the X50™/X85™/X75™ multiple application processors.
Enables you to move to 5.1 surround sound using your existing stereo audio infrastructure.
Add an upconvert to your audio signal while upconverting your video signal to maintain proper video-to-audio timing.
Any audio signal can be processed to a pleasing 5.1 before compressing, and loudness control can be added for those annoying level changes that occur between differing programs and commercials.
DTS Neural Surround™ products have a fixed propagation delay with an additional user-settable delay. When integrated with Harris® 6800+, Selenio or X50/X85/X75 products, a corresponding video delay can be easily added to maintain proper video-to-audio timing for correct lip sync.
These new audio processing products enable the television broadcaster to provide an improved audio experience in the home.
Downmixing with watermarking allows the carriage of surround sound audio over stereo infrastructure with upmixing occurring before the distribution of audio utilizing Dolby® Digital AC-3 encoding. Upmixing any audio signal at the same point in the system provides surround sound at all times. The downmixed stereo signal may also be upmixed in the home using the latest generation receiver/amplifiers.
Loudness control has always been an issue for television. Using new audio processing techniques, it is possible to provide an analysis and measurement of the loudness of a signal using industry standards with enhanced methods using human perception analysis.
